About Prima Lash & Beauty Bar

Whitney and Diamond Cumbo are the founders of PRIMA Lash & Beauty Bar and PRIMA Lash & Beauty Supply Where Upscale Meets Affordable Luxury. These two thriving Chicago-based businesses located within the Bridgeport neighborhood,are geared toward bringing a high-quality suite of beauty services and products to the residents of Chicago and surrounding areas.

 While a full-time student at Northern Illinois Universitypursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in 2015, Whitney became no longer interested in working a regular 9-to-5 job. To change her narrative, she invested her rent money to become a certified lash tech and started her first business, Lash Me Whit. While attending classes 300 miles from home four days a week, Whitney then drove home to work her business the other three days of the week. That was her routine until receiving her degree in 2018. Whitney continued to grow her clientele and business reputation full-time until moving into her first brick and mortar location, PRIMA Lash & Beauty Bar with her sister in December 2019. Whitney has since shifted her activities from installing lashes to developing the new lash techs of tomorrow through teaching today.

 Diamond too realized her passion for becoming her own boss within the beauty and wellness industries while in college. Since moving into becoming a full-time business owner, master lash tech, and certified in microblading and 3D Ombre Eyebrows, she has dedicated herself to maintaining the highest quality standards while anticipating new developments. Diamond does not just want her clients leaving her chair looking and feeling beautiful, she also wants them to know their beauty health is just as important. Because of that deep-rooted commitment, she routinely attends trainings to add new and innovative skills to her list of available services.  

 When it comes to daily operations, the sisters know that maintaining a solid reputation is imperative for their success. With the dual passions of Whitney and Diamond it should be no surprise that they continue to forge strong partnerships with companies and clientsboth domestically and internationally. Whether it is a lash appointment for a special event or a lash certification class, the sisters strive to create new ways to service and educate their clients and students.

 Whitney and Diamond celebrated the one-year anniversary of PRIMA Lash & Beauty Bar’s grand opening, by opening their second brick and mortar location, PRIMA Lash & Beauty Supply directly across the street. That location will be open for business after the new year 2021.
